January 25th, 2024 - The Conversion of Saint Paul the Apostle and the 80th Anniversary of the first Female Ordination in the Anglican Communion was the day that the Territory celebrated the Ordination of the Ven. Clara Elizabeth Plamondon as a Bishop in the Church of God and her installation as the Second Bishop for the Territory.
This well attended event saw people from all over the country gather to celebrate, along with numerous attendees who joined us online around the globe.

In attendance were Primate Linda Nicolls, National Indigenous Archbishop Chris Harper, Provincial Metropolitan, Archbishop Lynne McNaughton, Archbishop Greg Kerr-Wilson (Metropolitan of Rupert’s Land), Province of BC/Yukon Bishops: David Lehmann, Lesley Wheeler-Dame, John Stephens, Kathy Martin (ELCIC BC Synod), Province of BC/Yukon Retired Bishops: John Privett, James Cowan, Gordon Light and Barbara Andrews, along with bishops from the Diocese of Saskatchewan and Diocese of Athabasca: Bishops Adam Halkett and David Greenwood. We had many clergy attend and we had representation from our companion Diocese of Montreal – Archdeacon Robert Camara and the Rev. Tyson Rosberg. We were blessed with the presence of our Pastoral Elders, some of whom drummed in and out the procession. Pastoral Elder Pauline taught us about pausing while processing, while Pastoral Elder Ernie taught us about the origin of the song they drummed. Pastoral Amy read the Lord's Prayer.

The presider was Archbishop Lynne McNaughton and the preacher was the Rev’d Dr Dawna Wall.

A special thank you to the Very Rev. Dr Kyle Norman and Claire Tosoff for their leadership in preparing for the service and for their organizational skills before and during the service. Thank you to Melissa Green who assisted with Master of Ceremony duties with Dean Kyle during the service. Thank you to the livestream team who worked with Pat Ebert to make the service available online.

Thank you to Pat Rustand and Gordon Britton for their musical skills and for the choir who sang their hearts out! The Cathedral family was a wonderful host – thank you to all the many volunteers that made this so special including the altar guild, reception team and all the behind the scene workers. A huge thank you to Philomena Hughes who has taken some amazing photos that we are now able to use!
