On the 23rd September, 2023, St. Michael and All Angel's Prince George held an Interfaith prayer and reflection service for the Season of Creation.

The theme was  'Let justice and peace flow.' Speakers from five spiritual traditions, Indigenous, Hindu, Christian, Islam, and Baha'i, shared, in a sacred circle with the gathered community, their perspectives on, why creation is important in their spiritual lives.  How climate change, environmental damage, and biodiversity loss is affecting their spirituality. What their faith traditions are calling them to do to preserve and protect the earth and all her living species, and to share what actions they are taking to ‘let ecological justice and peace flow.’

In between each speaker, we had time for reflection with beautiful musical interludes, from Val, pianist and Eric, classical guitarist.

Our service of prayer and reflection was followed by light refreshment in the hall and an opportunity to meet and greet people of diverse cultures and faiths.

The whole interesting and uplifting service, was a wonderful gift from God, who is parent to all of us in our diversity.
