Service of Light

We had the Service of Light in church.

This is where a fire is lit outside and the new Easter candle is lit. This in turn lights the congregation’s candles, as we enter the darkened building, bringing in the first light of Easter. Thanks to everyone who was able to come along (the fire may look a bit dramatic, but it was only a few bits of fire start whipped up by the Holy Spirit (wind), and was quickly extinguished).
