The night before, it hailed and rained buckets, but morning brightened to sunshine and deep blue skies. Parishioners from SCW'EXMX Lower Nicola and St. Michael's Merritt gathered to together to follow the trails up the hills to the cattle ranches of old.

We met together at KANE LAKE RANCH owned by John and Kate Anderson, who would be hosting us at their beautiful house at Kane Lake. The sun was out, but still cold outside, so we blanketed the elders on cosy chairs on the porch. while others sat on the lower level of the porch. We had many elders and young'uns, a chorus of chickens crowing.

The full  Eucharist with bread and wine was so beautiful in the Creator's beauty. Great singing with creativity and appropriate music. We moved inside as it was still chilly outside, but a beautiful roaring fire warmed us up. We had a fantastic "cowboy feast" with barbecue roasted beef and all the fixings by our hosts the Andersons.

Everyone brought potluck and everyone went home with a carry out.  To top it all,  Elder Amy Charlie blessed Angus with a prayer for the future and a smudge.

Angus was then gifted a Pendleton Blanket "Meeting of the Waters" with love, so he remembers all of us, as we will miss him.
