Blessing the Bikes, Shoes & Scooters

On July 19 at St. Paul’s Cathedral the Very Reverand Dr. Kyle Norman Blessed the Bikes, Shoes & Scooters for the Alongside Hope Wild Ride participants- see https://www.youtube.com/@stpaulscathedral763/videos.

The participants of Team ”Territory of the People” will be cycling, walking and hosting other activities from now until the end of September.

We are showing our support for the Alongside Hope Wild Ride to bring clean, reliable solar power to St. Luke’s Hospital in Nablus, West Bank. The hospital serves a population of 455,000 people and urgently needs stable electricity. Alongside Hope is installing solar panels, and the Wild Ride aims to fund 70 of them. One panel cost $865 (which includes installation, maintenance and other costs.) And thanks to a generous donor, every gift to Light for St. Luke’s — including Wild Ride donations — will be matched dollar for dollar. Every dollar supports neonatal care, oxygen therapy, keeps operating rooms running during outages, reduces dependence on costly diesel generators and provides stability of essential medical services in a region where stability is precarious.
