Basket display in Lytton

On April 4 2026 John Haugen organized a display at Stein Valley Nlaka’pamux School of cedar root baskets and some demonstrations of basket weaving.

The photo of Amy Charlie and her cousins daughter Karen Dunstan is showing two cedar root baskets made by Amy’s grandmother. There is now an appreciation for all the intricate and hard work that goes into making these baskets.
