The dove hangings are back - freshened up, and hanging in the Cathedral. For the past several years Ordinary time has come and the original dove hangings were in no shape to be put up. Beautiful and fragile after many years in the hot summer Cathedral, it was time to retire them. We want to thank Sandra Sugden and the original dove team for the close to 20 years we got to enjoys the original banners.

Herb Hartling, the main volunteer for hanging precious things, decided to commission a new set of hangings for Ordinary time. He, with the help of his friend and seamstress extraordinaire, Carol Giles, and some encouragement from the Dean and Cathedral Staff, got to work on creating these banners.

The result is these lovely new and fresh banners. It is wonderful to see the doves back and we thank Herb and Carol for all their hard work.
