Pre-Covid the Iranian population of Prince George was close to seventy five. We have now reached well over 200 persons, with many Iranians on Faculty and as International students at the University of Northern British Columbia.

On March 22nd 2024,with the assistance of the Centre of Peace and Reconciliation, one hundred and twenty Persians gathered in the hall of St. Michael and All Angels, and for the first time as a community in Prince George, they celebrated Nowruz (Persian New Day, New Year.)

It was a marvellous event filled with friendship, love, peace, feasting and dancing.

St. Michael's was honoured and blessed to have been allowed to share our space with so many sisters and brothers from the Iranian community; who though separated by many miles from their own friends back home, were able to come together as family and share their culture and joy.

Respectfully submitted.
