The annual Safe Church (formerly “Creating Trustworthy Communities”)  Training Day for the South Rivers Deanery Saturday, Sept 17th, from 9 am til 4:30 pm.  The location is St. Marys/St. Andrews in Lillooet.

Lunch will be provided, as will all training materials. Participants receive a certificate at the end of the day that is valid for three years. This training  is  MANDATORY for clergy who hold the Bishop’s Licence.

As well, Sunday School teachers, Youth Group leaders, Wardens, Pastoral Elders, and Lay Ministers of Word and Sacrament must also hold a  current certificate.

There is no charge for this training. Most participants find it engaging and interesting and we have received much positive feedback from the training day last year.

We ask people to pre-register so that we we can facilitate meal planning, dietary concerns, and also know how many copies of resource materials to bring to the event.

If people wish to attend but need assistance with transportation car pooling can be arranged.
