Hi Everyone

St. Peter's Anglican Church and Messy Church are participating in the Bells for Peace Initiative to remember those who served in World War 1 and to celebrate 100 years since the war was ended and a Peace Armistice was signed in 1918. To create a remembrance event that highlights the sacrifices of Canadians who served in WWI. Everyone is invited to join with our country and other religious organizations in ringing the church bell 100 times at sunset (4:20PM) on Sunday November 11th at St. Peter's Anglican Church-549 Carson Drive. Our hope is all who hear the Bells will stop and focus on the loss and sacrifice both on the battlefield and at home.

The theme for Messy Church will be Bells for Peace and there will be many activities to honour the special occasion and celebrate peace.  We will be lighting a candle to remember special people in our lives who have passed and ringing the bell for each. A display of local veterans and real peacemakers.

There will be Prayers for Peace and a few crafts such as beading peace bracelets and making a window mosaic cross of peace.  We will also be learning a few peace songs and playing bells as a group.  Hope you can make it and bring a friend.

  Peace
